About the workshop
Join us at Left Field Leslieville for a hands-on "Build Your Own Mug Workshop"!
Grab a pint and get creative. In this beginner-friendly pottery workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of hand-building as you create your own one-of-a-kind ceramic mug. With step-by-step guidance from our instructors, you'll explore basic clay techniques, shaping, refining, and surface decoration (with texture and underglaze) to design a mug that's uniquely yours. No previous pottery experience is required—this workshop is perfect for first-timers, friends, couples, families, and anyone looking for a fun, creative outing. Minimum age: 16 years.
Your Goal
Create a handmade mug you'll be proud to use (or gift).
The Perk
- All materials and equipment will be provided by us.
- Feel free to bring your own pattern and decoration inspirations. We will also have some fun and easy pattern and decoration ideas on hand to get you started.
- We'll take care of the glazing with food safe glazes and kiln firing your mug for you.
Before You Arrive
- Wear clothing you don't mind getting a little messy.
- Please arrive no more than five minutes before the scheduled start time.
Cancellation & Pickup
- Your finished mug will be ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks after the workshop.
- Once your mug is ready, you'll receive an email notification.
- Finished work must be picked up from Left Field Brewery within 30 days of that email.
- There are no partial refunds for missed workshops. If registration doesn't reach the minimum number of attendees, we reserve the right to reschedule the workshop.
A couple of things to note:
Cost of material and firing costs are included in the registration fee.
Fired pieces can be picked up from Left Field Brewery 3-4 weeks from the workshop date.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing.
Aprons are not provided.
Workshops are non-refundable.
There are no partial refunds for missed workshops.
If registration doesn't reach the minimum number of attendees, we reserve the right to reschedule the workshop.
