Jar Workshop

Join us for a dynamic three-hour pottery workshop focused on creating jars and lidded vessels, tailored for students with some wheel-throwing experience. In this intensive session, you’ll refine your skills in shaping, trimming, and finishing your pieces under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Learn to craft beautifully proportioned jars and design lids that fit seamlessly, while engaging in hands-on practice and receiving personalized feedback. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a stunning lidded vessel and the confidence to continue exploring your pottery journey!  
 
About the instructor: Alex Mykris has more than eight years of wheel throwing experience, including two years as an artist in residence and instructor at the Iowa Ceramics Centre.
