Maiolica: Glazing Technique Workshop
Date: Sunday, September 21 2025
Time: 2-5 pm (3 hours)
Age: 16+
Location: Feldspar Ceramics, 1390 Gerrard St East
This introductory workshop will take us through the ancient glazing technique of maiolica. Maiolica is a perfect solution for anyone looking to level up their decoration techniques with colourful illustrations. During the workshop we will discuss materials, painting techniques and storytelling through ceramic decoration. You will be given a tile to then glaze and paint your own design on.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.
About the instructor:
Brittany (Britt) Kuba is a recent Sheridan Ceramics grad and textile artist from southern Ontario. Working primarily with large, handbuilt coiled forms, she works to make art that represents herself and the human condition. Creating has become second nature to her. Alongside her artistic skill, Britt has honed her technical skills and is eager to share her knowledge with others.
